7. Why We Broke Up

***I’m telling you why we broke up, Ed. I’m writing it in this letter, the whole truth of why it happened.
Min Green and Ed Slaterton are breaking up, so Min is writing Ed a letter and giving him a box. Inside the box is why they broke up. Two bottle caps, a movie ticket, a folded note, a box of matches, a protractor, books, a toy truck, a pair of ugly earrings, a comb from a motel room, and every other item collected over the course of a giddy, intimate, heartbreaking relationship. Item after item is illustrated and accounted for, and then the box, like a girlfriend, will be dumped.***

I like change. In this book, Daniel Handler used another approach and that’s what made me read this.
There are those books which are a bit blur in the beginning, boring even but as you flip more pages, you’ll learn something from it. I believe the best part of a book is either it’s beginning or it’s end and in the case of this book, I strongly agree that it ended really well. Min was able to deliver the reason behind their break up.
If you’ve been cheated on,
this book is for you.
PS: don’t worry, there’s lots of fish in the sea. Gather enough strength to stand up and walk away. Regret not a single thing. It (relationship) once made you smile. Don't worry, karma's ready to get him. Just wait and see.
Love,
M x
